The os898 Journey — From an Idea to Malaysia's Trusted Platform
The os898 journey began with a simple but telling observation: many Malaysian players were being forced to use foreign platforms that didn't understand local needs. They faced interfaces in unfamiliar languages, payment methods that required currency conversion, and sports markets that barely scratched the surface of local leagues. The founding team at os898 saw this gap as an opportunity to build something better — a platform that truly "feels Malaysian" in every way.
Since its launch in 2019, os898 has grown organically through trust built one member at a time. There are no shortcuts — every product development decision, every interface improvement, and every policy set by os898 is made with one core question in mind: is this truly the best outcome for our Malaysian players?
Os898's Products – More Than Just Sports Betting
Many first discover os898 through its Sports Betting section, particularly its comprehensive coverage of the Liga Super Malaysia and the EPL. But os898 has grown well beyond the "sports platform" label. Today, os898 offers a complete online entertainment ecosystem encompassing Sports Betting across more than 30 categories, Live Casino with real dealers, online slots with over 500 titles, number games such as keno, and much more.
Os898's Live Casino section is one of the most comprehensive on the Malaysian market. Players can enjoy roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and other casino games with live dealers who speak Bahasa Melayu, all streamed in real time from a professional studio. It delivers an experience that comes remarkably close to being in a physical casino — with the comfort of playing from home or anywhere via your smartphone.
Os898 and the Malaysian Sports Community
One of the things the os898 team is most proud of is the relationship we've built with Malaysia's sporting community. We're not just a platform profiting from Malaysians' passion for sport — we're part of that ecosystem ourselves. When Johor DT qualified for the AFC Champions League group stage, we celebrated alongside the fans. When Lee Zii Jia stepped onto the All England stage, our odds reflected genuine belief in our national athlete's ability.
In esports, os898 was among the first platforms in Malaysia to recognise the huge potential of MPL MY as a betting product. From our very first season of coverage, the overwhelming response from Malaysia's esports community confirmed it was the right call. Today, every MPL MY season ranks as one of the most popular betting events on os898, with thousands of players following every match with passion.
Os898's Commitment to Responsible Gaming
Os898 believes that genuine entertainment must be controlled and responsible entertainment. This is not just a slogan — it is a principle embedded in every aspect of how we operate. Every os898 member has access to limit-management tools that allow them to set their own daily betting limits, weekly loss limits, and session time limits.
Our self-exclusion programme allows players who feel they need a break to block access to their own accounts for a set period. The os898 support team is also trained to identify signs of problem gambling and connect members with appropriate help resources. We believe a responsible platform builds lasting trust — and that trust has been the foundation of os898's growth from day one.
Security and Transparency — Core Values of os898
Player trust is os898's most valuable asset. To maintain that trust, we operate with a high degree of transparency. Every odds displayed on os898 is a genuine figure calculated by our system — no manipulation, no sudden changes. Every confirmed bet is a contract — your payout is calculated based on the odds at the time your bet was confirmed and cannot be altered by any party.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is available on all os898 accounts, adding an important extra layer of security. Our security team monitors account activity 24/7 to detect and respond to any suspicious behaviour immediately. If you ever receive an email or message claiming to be from os898 and asking for your password, please report it to our support team right away — os898 will never request sensitive information via email or message.
As a platform built around Malaysian players, os898 is also committed to continuously improving our products based on community feedback. We maintain an open feedback channel, and our product team actively reads every suggestion submitted. Many features now available on os898 — including odds display in Bahasa Melayu, match notifications in local languages, and support for new payment methods — are a direct result of member requests.
